Thread: Tragic accident to my iphone

I hate for my very first post to be about something so horrible. It seems that I had my iphone 16G 3G in my coat pocket and I accidentally slammed the car door on it..At the time I just thought that it was the seat belt but my heart sank when I tried to make a phone call and my iphone wouldn't turn on. I tried hooking it up to my computer and it won't recognize it or even charge. I can't believe that the screen didn't crack or anything. I'm pretty sure this is a hardware problem. I actually opened the damn thing up correctly but now I'm stuck. Do you think that I can save my iphone? What should I do now? What should I check? Any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to MMi,
Sorry to hear about your phone, so sux.
I would have a pro take a look at it really, could be a number of things really. We have several members here that are highly respected that do repairs.

Do you have any that are in Chicago, IL that don't charge a lot?

All are very reasonable, but no you would have to mail it out, as they are in Georgia, Florida, and Tenn. I personally have had repairs done myself from some of them.

Depends on what's wrong, but they wont charge if they cant fix it, just shipping is all.

OnCallERS.com Phone Repair Services in Chicago They got good reviews on Yelp.com and I called them about replacing the digitizer in my 2g, and they only charge $110 for that when other places charge well over $150.
You should give them a call.
