Iphone 3g LCD Issue

I recently broke my iphone outer screen, so i bought the digitalizer/screen, replaced it but now my lcd screen doesnt work. im connecting all the cables correctly and i now the phone is on because it vibrates still when i switch volume/silence. could any1 give me any suggestions on what im doing wrong or help?

Sounds like you broke the LCD taking it out from the screen assembly. Its rather fragile and any flexing can break it.
