What should I do with iPhone 2G PARTS??
A friend gave me his iPhone 2G since he got it damaged by water. The screen didnt work and it seemed not to turn on.
After a while I connected it to iTunes but it didnt connect so I put it in recovery mode and luckily I was able to restore it
So I thought the screen was the only problem. I have also another 2G in another thread which has a NO SERVICE problem which has yet to be resolved. I was thinking if the problem cannot be resolved I might just take that screen and connect it to the iPhone with the broken screen.
At this time I have successfully disassembled the iPhone 2G.
Can I have some ideas what to do next please?

switch the comm board on the phones.

Throw it in the trash. 99% chance the board is toasted.

You can probe the board to find where the shorts are, but I doubt you have the equipment or knowledge to do so. There is no telling what transformers or smd's are damaged. But swapping parts around is most likely not going to get you going, unless your very lucky.

does anyone know a good website to get a comm board/battery combo?
I made the mistake of accidentally breaking off the contact points for the battery =/
is iphonepartspro.com a good site?
