ok so I thought I would try again. (iphone charge port broken.) I didn't have a camera on hand so I googled a picture for a iphone charging port to better explain what I was talking about and in 30 seconds ended up finding a place to fix it
(http://gadgetrepair.biz/product_info...roducts_id=172). one problem, its $75. For $200 I could turn in mine for a brand new one so I wouldn't want to pay over $40-50 to fix it. It can still "charge" (takes 8-12 hours for full charge)and cannot sync and when plugged in does not even vibrate or show that it is plugged in by any way except that when it is off (it can't keep a charge when it's on.) it slowly charges.
I had a similar issue with charging syncing and I had 5 cables that looked similar and 2 only sync not charge and the other 3 did sync and charge. I didn't understand your question either.
I thought the links would help... Anyway idk what's broken now.... It actually showed the charging thing for the first time since it broke. (same cord too) basicly i thought the charging port of the PHONE was broken. Right Now I'm afraid to take it anywhere in case it won't work right again. My question btw was if there was a cheaper way to fix it besides that link ($75)
If it is the dock connector (charging port)....you have to buy the part in 3 pieces (dock, flex cable/charger port, microphone) and solder them together.....
The 3 pieces just to buy will run yeah prolly $30 or a little more I think.
So your only gonna get cheaper really if you do it yourself.
I can get it to charge now by messing around with it when I plug it in but that doesn't work all the time and I still can't sync it... Is there ANY way at all to sync without the apple plugs that are made to charge/sync it?
