I haven't heard of anyone using nail polish. it should work, if you thin it down and use an airbrush to apply lots of very thin coats and let it dry between the coats. good luck with it and take some before and after pictures to share with us

Maybe you could use some of that clear nail polish they do as a screen protector whilst you're at it?

They are not saying it so I will. Not a good idea!

By the way, looking at how my Mrs does it, the best way to dry nail polish is to gently blow on it and then shake your hands in the air. I think you should adopt the same system for the iPhone (make sure you hold it tightly when you wave it around though).

I meant thinning the paint with some type of paint thinner... mineral spirits, Turpentine ,paint thinner.
but after thinking about this today, i would agree with BigDogStatus "They are not saying it so I will. Not a good idea!"
To answer your last question the very best way is to replace the back cover if your interested pm cprj. I think he's still replacing them for people.... and a small fee
