SIM Card problem!!!

Hey,
So I have a 2G iphone with 2.2.1 firmware. For some reason, my phone stopped reading sim cards. When I put a sim card in the phone, the phone still tells me that no sim is installed. How can I fix this problem???

Have you at least tried restoring the phone to see if its just software?

i've had the same problem and went to att for help and it turned out to be the simcard tray. Check if its a little loose it could be that your simcard tray is loose so that the phone itself cant read the simcard properly

Yeah, that happened to me.
You get a sim tray on ebay cheap.

If the sim card tray is a little loose, a small piece of scotch tape to the back of your sim card (the printed side- NOT the side with the gold circuit patch), will help it make contact. I did this in an old 2G and my old 3G as well.

yeah, i restored it twice.
But I'll try the loose sim card tray thing. hopefully that works.
