    Default i think i bricked my 2g!!
so i just jailbroke/unlocked my 2g with 3.0 however it had all my information

i went into the settings screen on the iphone and did the return to factory settings.. then after i went in again to the erase all contents and settings

it said it would take 2 hours at most.. i went to bed last night to find it was stuck @ the apple bootscreen

no problme i said, so i did the soft reset (turn it off with home and power button) to no avail it would go to the bootscreen and give the loading emblem (sun like thing)

i tried to power off the phone and then hit the home key to put it into safe mode but it wont even do that!!!

    what gives guys???? help!!!!!!!

Have you tried putting it into DFU mode yet? (Power & home button for EXACTLY 10 seconds then release the power button ONLY and keep the home button pressed for a further 10 seconds). You should end up with just a blank screen if you've done it correctly (and it does take some practice believe me).

    iTunes should then recognise it.

    DFU,
    INSTRUCTIONS
    Step 1. Turn off iPhone
Step 2. Hold down the power and home button.
Step 3. When you see the Apple logo, release the power button but continue holding the home button down.
Step 4. Open iTunes and wait for it to tell you that it’s in restore mode.

    Alternative Method:
Step 1. Connect iPhone to USB then listen to the sound when it connect and disconnect.
Step 2. Hold the home and power buttons until hear the disconnect sound then release power button.
Step 3. Wait until you hear another sound then release home button

Here's something I found that might help you.

Oh, and you can thank but just hitting the "Thanks" button on posts rather then saying it.
