GPS Issues

hello,

i bought a "broken" iphone 3G off a member of this forum, fixed it up, and it all seemed good.

now here's the thing, i dont remeber if the GPS worked when i got it, i think it did, but im not sure, but it doesnt work now.

today i recieved my replacement GPS antenna and installed it, but i still am not haveing any luck with the GPS. No blue dot, no nothing.

is there a chance that the GPS chip is damaged? would it just go bad?

anyone else have any problems like this?

well, i upgraded to 3.0 and it works now.

okay....nevermind!

Apparently 3.0 puts the little blue dot down on the map, reguardless if you have GPS or not

so still, i have no GPS even after changing the antenna.

Any Ideas?
