replacing iphone digitizer?

Ok, so I replace the iphone digitizer, it displays everything but does not respond to touch, what's the problem here?

and then when i try to reconnect everything, the three wires that hold the battery to the board accidently break off.....should i just desolder the balls and resolder a new battery in for that one?

ive got loads of problems fixing this...

Well first off....the digitizer is the piece that gives it the "touch" function. The LCD is the screen.

So if it doesnt respond to touch...the digitizer is broken. So either you dont know what parts your talking about or you broke the new digitizer installing it.

Yeah double check all your cables.....cause either the cable is loose, or it was faulty/damaged....which would sux.

im also gonna have to resolder the battery into there as well.

i ended up messing up the white wifi antenna cable..it wont stay on where its supposed to be. I mean, the other end of the cable, im just able to push it into place

so yeah, theres da problem...keep the white antenna cable in its place and put in a new battery...

You may have to carefully remove the glue that is around the antenna connector on the board. This can cause problems when trying to put the wire back on. Also you may want to try a little dab of alcohol to clean the ribbon cables and contacts. And if all else fails try your best to get a refund/exchange if not at least see if you can get another at cost.

Those are part of the headphone jack/power button assembly and connect to the board in the top left corner (at least on a 3G, right near the GPS). Strange that you'd be able to even power the phone on though if that isn't connected.

If the screen and all works but your vibrate switch doesn't I'd try to take it into the store. I've had them swap one out just forthat being broken. Just don't mention the new LCD/digitizer.
