iPhone 2G drops calls randomly

Whats up everyone, here is my problem. I have an iPhone 2G jailbroken/unlocked for t-mobile. My phone likes to drop calls randomly. When I have 5 bars it does just fine but when I have 3 or less bars is when it starts to drop calls. I have tried a different sim card same thing. I have restored it a few times with different FW same thing. So i think its a hardware issue. I took my antenna cover off and the antenna looks fine but I will replace it and the flex cable anyway.

Do you guys have any advice on what else might be the problem or a solution? Any advice is appreciated and will probably save me money and time. Thank you for your time.
