    Default Housing swap help
Right now I'm in the middle of swapping the housing on the Iphone and I'm at the part where I'm supposed to remove the adhesive. I'm using goo gone but I'm still having trouble removing the parts. I already snapped one of the side rails trying to remove it. Can anyone give me suggestions as to how to remove the parts?

Gently. There is no "easy" way of doing it. You just have to keep working them.

Is there a specfic tool I am supposed to be using? I'm using a flat head, but I can't seem to wedge it under the parts to lift it out.

A tiny flathead works best actually. Or a razor.

Stupid question, but when you say razor, do you literally mean the razor blade used to shave?

Alright I basically removed everything but the side rails and the sim card portion. I'm having a real hard time with this because I can't get my razor at a good angle.

Tip: Dont bother with the side rails, you'll never get them on the new case correctly and you can actually put the housing back on without them and it will be tight.

The top portion with the sim slot you will need to use.

Wait but one of the rails is part of the volume, vibrator part. Unless I'm confusing the rail for some other part. I'm talking about the 2 pieces that on the side with screwholes at the very end (Part of the 3 screws you remove after taking off the antenna cover)

    I have a 2g btw.

    That you need.

When I say "rails" I mean the 2 slim bracket looking pieces that go on the sides (the left one goes under the volume buttons)....there are 2 pieces to the sides. Those you dont need.

Ok now I am getting desperate, I can't seem to get the side pieces/sim card piece out no matter how much I try.(I can't wedge my razor/flat head in) I submerged the case in goo gone for now, I hope it works.
