iPhone 3g Screen replacement. URGENT help needed THANKS.!

Hi All, any ideas how much it'll cost to have a iPhone 3g screen replacement and how long it takes for the apple store to replace it?

Am in the UK.

Any help would be appreciated,

Apple wont.

But you can purchase the part, glass and digitizer for less than $30 + you'll need the adhesive to apply it for around $6.

So i can do this myself? do you have the link where i can purchase the glass and digitizer?

Yup, ebay's the cheapest......the glass/digitizer is one piece. DONT buy just the glass, its useless. And then you can buy the adhesive from etechparts.com

But yeah, apple doesnt do repairs.

Thanks you, and where can i get instructions on how to apply the new screen? or does it come with the product?

ifixit.com has good guides.

but you can hassle me when you get the parts. Its not hard if you have some electronics experience....but ask before guessing....its not hard to screw something up or tear your LCD, which is much more expensive.

Thanks, sorry ive been registered here a while but i only used to browse and read news,, and use the cydia apps to get more info and screen shots before trying them on my iphone.

I'll try but am not sure i have much to offer in regards to iPhone, just got mine less than a month ago, still learning about them, hency why mmi has prooved to be a valuable place, its on my FF speed dial, on my iphone, and nokia n95.!
