Dust Behind Screen
Happened with my 30GB iPod 5G, too. Will AT&T or Apple clear this out for free? I don't mind restoring my phone, but I don't want to do it if neither will help (for free of course).

Broomhead, I got it from Best Buy (it was late, AT&T was closed, and I couldn't wait another day
). But just take it to an Apple Store and they'll replace it? Wait...you mean the whole phone? I don't want a new phone. I don't want to pay for my jailbreak apps again, and then a 3rd time when I get the new iPhone.
cpjr, I don't want to go THAT route. lol Me and my dad removed the back of my sister's iPhone and that was a bad idea. Scratched and bent up the back a little, and still couldn't get the sleep/wake button fixed. I'd NEVER try that on my own 3G. I'd ball my eyes out if anything happened to it. Apple won't mess with it, they will just give you a new one and send you on your way

Really? Well then I might just buy all my jailbreak apps again. Snapture, iRealSMS, AdBlock...wait. I think that's it. And that's less than $25 and for a new iPhone...8D

Hey thanks Broomhead, 1 more thing. My iphone has operated like a dream since I first got it apart from winterboard issues. Im scared I might get a dud if i replace it. I know you cant make the decision but your input is helpful. I have 3 specs which u can notice and about 4 u have to look close to see. What would you do?

^I'd swap it. I have swapped several iphones (for different reasons) and have never gotten a "dud". They were all great.

^Pretty much. Apple's about as cool as it comes with that stuff.
Make sure you restore first....show up with a jailbroken phone and they wont be happy.

^Dunno how the Apple stores work over there.....but here you have to go online and make an appointment first....they dont really take "walk-ins".

Ill keep searching around here im sure others had this problem. But lol which is worse dust or stock fw? looooooooooooool. 2 days after the release of the 3g i noticed 2 specs of dust under the screen, took it back and they ordered in a new one for me, said it would take up to 3 days to arrive, called next day with the replacement
