Water Damage?
Also posted on hofo.
Has anyone been able to find a new genius to replace their phone after the original rejected them? My hardware (not software) is starting to act up (not cause of the water) and i want it replaced. The phone was never submerged or dropped in a puddle, the bottom indicator must have turned pink when i took a call in the rain or when i work out. Went to the apple store today, was close to getting a replacement for my rattle and recessed home button issue but right at the end, he took a look at the bottom and saw the pink was like "sorry, we cant help you". My question is, has anyone ever encountered a genius that still exchanged it for them? Should i take a risk and go to another apple store to try or is it hopeless?
I find it stupid that the indicator is so sensitive.
the genius's advice, use it till it breaks, than just buy another one by renewing your contract.IpodLover77 @ Hofo

When the first genius rejects it...they also log it into the database, so the next one will get an alert as soon as they pull the serial #.

Apple is going to face the mallot one day when one of the class action lawyers with enough sense to produce the fact that you cannot put an OPEN AIR water sensor at the VERY BOTTOM of a phone where all the humidity blows freely over the phone.
