Touchscreen Problems-Apple will replaced your Iphone

I have been having problems with my keyboard wherein the bottom part was not responding to touch, googled it and found a forum (macrumors,I think) wherein a member was able to have his Iphone replaced even AFTER THE WARRANTY RUN OUT. I then restored my unlocked/jailbroken phone to "virginized" my phone,went to APPLE online, "search touchscreen problems" and voila, there were instructions on how to fix it first and if it still fails, Apple will replaced your phone even if it's out of warranty. It's important that you bring a printout from Apple because the genius guy I spoke with didn't know anything until I showed him the printout from Apple. I now have a new/refurbished first generation Iphone for FREE.

This only works if you have an AT&T sim. I read somewhere that maybe you can buy an AT&T prepaid sim before you go to the apple store. Just thought I'd share my experience here, just giving back to the community.
