Proximity Sensor 2G
Ugh, my proximity sensor just randomly stopped working on my 2G today.

I know a restore will probably fix it, but does anyone have any other ideas? I searched on here, but there's nothing really recent that's worked for me...
Sucks, man...
Thanks for any help!
EDIT: Forgot to say I accidently engaged SBSettings before/during when I was trying to call I guess.
I blew into the headphone jack to try and clear dust, but no luck...
Hopefully it doesn't work after a restore so I can score a refurb.
Any last minute ideas before I restore? Forgot to mention I've been doing a little running with it as of late... I hold it in my hand, but maybe that does something to it?
Whatever...
Triple post FTW.
It's done. I restored as a new phone on 2.2.1 and it's still not working. Hopefully Apple will just switch it out and be cool about it even though it's like a year and a half old.
Anyone who still has anything to contribute, feel free to...
Hehe, just went to Pwn it and realized I should probably hold off.

I dont want to be the bearer of bad news, but if the phone is over a year old, the warranty is over, so you might be out of luck...

^I'd be quite disappointed in that case, seeing as I don't have $300 on me for a white 3G. Thanks for the information, though... Hopefully it works out, I'll update tomorrow/whenever I get to the Apple store.
They could still switch it out like they've been known to do right? Or are they stricter outside of warranty?
Regardless, thanks for the response...Respect your elders.
