Replacing 3G glass also fix digitizer issue?

So the guy from whom I bought a phone off of eBay claims that now, his digitizer (touch sensor) isn't working. The glass was cracked in the first place. Now, since the glass and digitizer are all one part, if I swap out the glass, will the touch work again?

It will IF you buy the glass/digitizer part.

You can buy the glass alone...but its pointless cause you cant "install" a digitizer to it. This is because you cant remove a digitizer from old glass without breaking it, its literally as fragile as a saltine cracker.

The digitizer is a separate piece, but it comes fused to the glass.

The part on ebay is less than $30.

Yeah, bought the glass/digitizer fused. Kinda upset cause I was getting a good deal on a cracked phone and the owner just messed it up before he shipped it out to me. He also claimed he was factory resetting it, even though he advertised it as unlocked >=[ hoping he didn't update it...

BTW, cpjr, I have to say, you are probably the most helpful person on this site. I really appreciate it all.
