Water damage is the result of red. Best get in contact with member one1 he is the expert on that sort thing.

Im going to replace the headphoen jack cables, power button, and silent button, then take it to apple.

Maybe. If the red glow has gone, I had a mate who had same trouble as you. Put iPhone in microwave for 5 sec returned it to apple no q's asked replacement handend to him.

and if someone already brought it to apple, with water damage, they might have blacklisted it in their system by the serial number. be careful. maybe check on apple.com for warrenty status

so, i got it to turn on.. nothing on the screen though.. don't know what to do now.
- changed the headphone jack so apple don't know it's been water damanged..
