For all you people that are scared to do this mod...
DealExtreme: $3.19 Protective Backside Case for iPhone 3G/2G (Red) free shipping...
They crack easy, so once you put it on leave it.. (Or you can buy 10 for the same price as one of the replacement backs.
Some pics of my dealextreme case... $3.19 and it snaps on in about .5 seconds !!
(actually the pics dont do it justice.. Its a deep candy apple metallic red.

Just a good epoxy. You can use something like crazy glue but it may haze the housing/bezel - which can be cleaned off, but may take a few cleanings.

i purchased one off ebay and it wasnt a good fit at all. does anyone know of a reputable site to purchase a housing, i do remember seeing a link on this thread when it first started but cant find it anymore

^None of them fit well, you have to struggle with them to make them fit. Aftermarket is never like OEM.
