If only there was a metal back with a black bezel and black apple logo. That would be sick.

A metal back might look good - you just wouldn't ne able to use it as a phone...

That film was posted on Engadget on 24/2/10 - so only a couple of months old.

that film was actually just a post on this forum that got popular but then people from other forums and the people from enGadget saw it and made posts on their websites saying he faked the pics and was a cheater so he made that video to prove i...but things have been quite from him recently...

Sorry if this was asked/answered earlier, but could you go into a bit of detail about how you actually removed the chrome bezel from the original iphone housing? I have tried to look on iFixit.com and stuff like that, and haven't found anything about how to remove it carefully without snapping/bending it. Its glued down pretty nicely, I don't want to just slide something under it and bend it up and risk snapping it or something!!
    i LOVE apple.

When you have all the screws out, use a blowdryer to loosen the glue and then start to "pry" it off.

I used a very very thin knife and just ran it around the joint until it was loose enough to lift off.
