3 Red dots by ear speaker on iPhone 3G...
i was holding my 3g in the sun earlier at an angle, and at the top of the phone, to the left of the ear speaker, there are 3 red dots.
they look like infrared sensors, maybe to detect if the ear is there or not for phone calls to turn the screen off.
i never noticed these before, havent seen them in any reviews or mentioned anywhere and since noticing them, i cant stop but see them and its driving me crazy.
if they are sensors for the ear... why do they need 3 of them??The Original Autobot of MMiJesus couldn't turn into a fire engine

one is a light sensor, the other is proximity... Im not sure what the 3rd is, but i do know that the original iPhone had the first two, and they were visible in the sun as well...

I did notice that they stood out more on my 3G while in the sun, and i can make out the oulines in a building... I could only slightly notice them on the original while outside...

I believe that the original was a little inaccurate so they added another one

Yeah, one is the light sensor and the other two are the proximity sensors. As previously stated, the original phone only had one proximity sensor, and the GGG has two.
