Default iPhone 4 on 5.1.1 need help
I have an iphone 4 on IOS 5.1.1.
    The phone is Factory unlocked.

I attempted to remove the jailbreak software.
Opened Cydia and went through the "Remove" procedure.

Now Cydia is gone but SBS settings, Activator, and ********** are still there.
I realize now that I should have removed them through Cydia......

Tried doing a restore on iTunes using my old 5.1.1 ispw.

Getting an error message - Error 3194 or "This device isn't eligible for the requested build"

Any help or advice would be appreciated.

    Regards, Ken

Running Redsn0w over it again will install back Cydia.
At your point I'd use the restore feature in Redsn0w allowing for the IPSW to be installed back clean from jailbreak.

Why you want to keep it on 5.1.1 is a mystery to me BTW

Went to the Redsn0w website, went through the "Jailbreak Wizzard" (windows,iPhone4,5.1.1.,unlocked).
Downloaded and ran redsnow 09.14b2 as recommended thru the wizard.

It went through it's procedure, phone rebooted (I watched the lines of programming scroll thru),
but after it finished I don't see a Cydia icon.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks, Ken

Did you check the 'Jailbreak and Install Cydia' option in Redsn0w's menu ?

And fair enough regarding staying on 5.1.1, was just curious. Thanks.

Ok. Try a reboot or something along these lines.

I thought you wanted to get rid of the jailbreak though...Why didn't you restore to 5.1.1 with Redsn0w instead of jailbreaking it allover again ?

I'm open to any and all options.

I thought the restore procedure was done through iTunes (clicking shift/restore, then selecting the stored ipsw).

Didn't how to or about using Redsn0w to restore. It's been a while since I've done the jailbreak/unlock stuff..

I do want to get rid of the jailbreak. I assumed I need to re-install Cydia to remove SBS/Activator & Inst****, and then remove Cydia.

Also, tried the reboot (Off then On), still no Cydia.

Hi, If you cant get redsnow to work, try iFaith. Make sure you are on iTunes 11.0.x and not 11.1.x then do an iTunes backup. In your case you will be downloading the iOS5 ipsw and your SHSH blobs.
Downgrade iOS 6.1.3 to 6.1.2 using iFaith
