Default Help...I Erased Content on Jailbroken phone
OK, I was in a hurry and hit "Erase All Content And Settings" on my Jailbroken w/Custom Logo 3Gs as I was about to sell it. It went to the Apple/Skull Logo screen.

I got iReb and put it into DFU mode to try and restore it but I get Error Code 1601.

How can I get it back working so I can sell it?

It's in pwned dfu now. iTunes reads it but it won't restore. Do I have to use a custom firmware and "Shift/Restore"?

OK, I tried a Custom Firmware (6.1.3 for 3Gs) and it gave me the 1601 Error Code.

6.1.3 should work, 6.1.2 no chance, I am sure that you don't have properly saved SHSH blobs for 6.1.2. Anyhow, again 6.1.3 has to work.
6.1.3 is the latest official firmware for 3 GS, still signed by Apple, so no need for custom firmware. Try to delete Apple lines in the host file first, change USB Port.......

You are right! I browsed to "CWindows\System32\ drivers\etc\hosts" and opened the Hosts file with Notepad. I deleted all of the .com files at the bottom of the file, saved, put phone into DFU mode, ran iTunes and restored. Works like new!!!

Thanks so much for helping me!
