09-03-2013, 10:09 PM #1Error 3194 restoring Iphone 4 6.0.1 Jailbroken to 6.1.2
First let me start by saying sorry if this thread has been posted before, but I couldn't find an answers on Google. So basically as it says in the title I am trying to restore my untethered IP4 6.0.1 to 6.1.2, but I keep getting the "3194" error. I did a little bit of reading and i think it may have something to do with "blobs". Any help would be much appreciated, thank you.

It does in fact have everything to do with SHSH blobs.
SHSH blobs are a system devised by Apple to prevent people from restoring their device to any firmware version other than the most current. While there is an automated system in place for jailbroken devices to save their SHSH blobs while Apple is still signing them, unfortunately this system was broken for pretty much the entirety of the 6.1.2 blobs availability window. Unless you manually saved your blobs with a program like iFaith or redsn0w, you cannot restore to iOS 6.1.2. Sorry.

Is there any other firmware I can restore to? I just hate being tethered. Gets pretty annoying.

So my phone is stuck at 6.0.1 forever?

6.1.3 with a tethered jailbreak.
