Default iPhone 5 on 6.1.2 jailbreak upgrade question
    Hi,

I have an iPhone 5 6.1.2 jailbroken with eVasion. I have saved the blobs at 6.1.2, and I just read that redsn0w can allow jailbreak on 6.1.4. Is it worth to upgrade or should i wait till ios7?

Is there a way to grab 6.1.4 blobs without actually upgrading the phone to 6.1.4? To make sure I understand, you can only grab blobs for which your ios the phone is currently on, is that correct?

Thank you for helping a newbie!

Just to clarify things a touch:

    1) Redsn0w cannot jailbreak iOS 6.1.4 right now. No public tools can. I'd advise you not to restore or otherwise alter your current phone's installation of iOS.

    2) You, however, can use redsn0w (0.9.15b3) to save SHSH blobs for iOS 6.1.4, even if your iPhone is not currently on iOS 6.1.4 by going to Extras -> SHSH Blobs -> New... and pointing to a copy of an iOS 6.1.4 IPSW with your iPhone plugged into the computer with a USB sync cable.

There are not many upgrades in 6.1.3 or 6.1.4. Apple just updated the firmware to patch the exploits and kill the 6.x jailbreak !
My Advice to you is not to update ! Stay on 6.1.2 !
And yeah, wait for iOS 7 ! Its jailbreak will surely be out to public !
