- iphone 5 (iOS 6.1.2) with saved 6.1.2 blobs

I've been working on this for too long thought id get some help trying to restore back to 6.1.2
1. Is it even possible to restore iphone 5 to 6.1.2? (if you are on 6.1.2 with saved blobs)
2. if so what am I doing wrong??
1. got the phone to DFU (where the screen is black and itunes says it's in recovery mode)
2. started the tss server (tiny umbrella)
3. launched itunes
4. option click to install iPhone5,1_6.1.2_10B146_Restore.ipsw
I get a 1600 error
hosts file: (what it looks like after replacing and restart)
# Host Database
# localhost is used to configure the loopback interface
# when the system is booting. Do not change this entry.
redsn0w - stitching isn't supported for this version (get an notification when doing it)
ifaith - stitching isn't supported (get an notification when doing it)
tried on windows 7 - it keeps going (5 minutes - stuck on preparing for restore) but eventually gives an error 1601)

Long story short, there's no way currently to restore the iPhone 5 to any version of iOS other than 6.1.4. Sorry about that.

This is similar to iLEX RAT. But iLEX is coming out with a better version named iLEX Restore.
It's the closest way to reset you device back to a freshly jailbroken state.

And what about this one: Semi-Restore for iOS 5.0-6.1.2 with a related story here: This is how SemiRestore allows you to restore without losing your jailbreak

Just two days ago, I did the iLex Rat on a iPod Touch 4G, I just bought for my kid, second hand. It was on 6.1 JB, with loads of stuff on it. Did an excellent job. Went back to a clean 6.1 with JB preserved. Very nice
