    Default ipad 1 help!
    Gentleman, I have a conundrum.

My dad bought an ipad 1 with 5.1.1 on craigslist and wanted to jailbreak it with the latest version of absinthe, however, when I try to jailbreak it even after a fresh restore as new, when it gets to the part where the apple logo is up and the progress bar comes up, it gets approx 70% done then stops and goes back to the slide to unlock screen.

Absinte at this point still reads "waiting for process to complete..." for about 2-3 minutes then finally, I get the following message
"Recovery completed. If you want to retry jailbreaking, unplug your device and plug it back in."

I've done this 4 times now, and never get cydia installed.

The only thing I can think of is that my dad put password restrictions on in settings but not in the lock screen, could that be the issue?

I tired redsn0w as well, and it fails to jailbreak as well.
    Don't forget to say THANKS!

    J.D.

I ran that first, and several times, and does the same thing I described in my first post. even when running in administrator mode.
