Hi there. I used to jailbreak before the original App Store got released and now with all this flashy Android stuff in my face I decided the time has come again. I have an iPhone 5 on version 6.0, never updated. I'm getting the sense that.. there is now problems with updating to a custom firmware and/or using tools to load custom firmwares? Is that right?
What happened, did everybody just quit and start using Android? What happened to the Dev Team and everything?
Anyway, the lovely guide on this site said to update to 6.1.2 yet that's not possible? Or is it?
And if I stay on 6.0 is that going to cause any problems with the jailbreaking ecosystem?

You can jail break it on 6.0 with evasion.
As far as updating something with the exploits it can't be done as of now. If ya update it will bring ya to latest firmware and its not jailbroken.
