I am about to buy a new iPhone 5 and want to jailbreak it, so I have a few questions.
- Is buying a new one at an Apple Store guaranteed to get you iOS 6.1.3 at this time or I may get 6.1.2 or even older?
- Will I face any problems performing the jailbreak now on a 6.1.2 iOS?

Hard to say some have 6.1.3 some have lower. If you have lower evasion will jailbreak it with no problems. You should be good.

So the only difference between jailbreaking now and when 6.1.2 was the latest version is that I won't have a SHSH for 6.1.2?
Those aren't of any use on an iPhone 5 anyways IIRC...

That's correct shsh blobs are useless as of now on the iPhone 5

I bought an iPad 4 at an Apple store yesterday, and it has iOS 6.0. So, it depends on what they have available in stock. Also, decline any help from a genius on setting up the device for you in-store. Otherwise, he/she will definitely will upgrade to the latest firmware.... 8-((
