I recently noticed some bugs in my jb and wanted to restore, and re-jailbreak. I downloaded iOS 6.1.2 firmware since .3 cannot be jailbroken yet. I fired up TinyUmbrella and grabbed my shsh blobs. Backup up the iPhone, started TSS Server in TinyUmbrella, and did a shift restore and pointed to the IPSW. Once the iPhone hits restore mode, iTunes throws up the error that it cannot be restored, error 11.
I'm not sure what other methods to use to attempt to restore and re-jailbreak. I've tried on multiple PC's (have no MACs available) but end in the same results.
Any advice would be appreciated.

What iphone are you having ? Almost all shsh blob from 6.0 to 6.1.2 saved by Cydia are corrupted.

Iphone 5 will not let you restore even though you have shsh saved. Your next restore will be 6.1.3 and no jailbreak yet.

iphone 5 can not be restored. The only option you have is 6.1.3 and no JB, sorry (:

If you are in recovery mode now, you must restore to 6.1.3 to get it up, sorry

I got out of recovery mode with TinyUmbrella. I guess I'll rock the some what buggy JB till 6.1.3 is jailbroken.
The reason I was going to restore was because I installed a hacked version of bitesms from biteyourapple repo, and I'm almost certain that caused my instability issues. I've since removed bitesms, but I think it's still lingering. When I get a text, it shows with the bitesms background on the notification alert.

Never ever install hacked tweaks, you are more lightly to crash your iphone. BTW, we do not discuss nor allow any talks about cracked app in this forum. Please respect our website.

My apologies. Does anyone know if there is a way to wipe out any possible lingering information from a jb app that has been removed?

Try running iCleaner, should do the job.

You can shsh into your iphone and delete anything regards to Bitesms. Do it with care or you end up restoring to 6.1.3
