Thread: Upgrade to an earlier firmware?

Default Upgrade to an earlier firmware?
My new iPhone 5 just delivered today. I just activated it and it's on iOS 6.0.1. It's a pretty unlucky time to get delivered as I know 6.1.3 just came out yesterday lol. Is it possible to upgrade from 6.0.1 to 6.1.2 instead of 6.1.3? I know that 6.1.3 is not jailbreakable at this point, but I do want the updates/fixes from 6.0.1 to 6.1.2.
    Thanks.

No, you can't on a iPhone 5. Just stay at 6.0.1 if you want to jailbreak.

I know in the iPhone 3G/3GS/4 days I could download the firmware files for earlier firmwares and install it by using the restore from backup, so I'm guessing Apple removed that ability in newer iPhones right?

3G/3GS/4 can go to any firmware as long as you have the shsh for that firmware for your device. iPhone 4S/5 cannot. They can only restore to whatever firmware apple is currently signing, which is 6.1.3 right now.

    Damn. Well thanks.
Anyone know of the evasi0n team is planning to tackle 6.1.3 or wait til iOS7 for the next jailbreak?
