Can't Upgrade To iOS 6

So my iPod touch 4g is jailbroken and running 4.3.3. I haven't been able to get my hands on a computer for a really long time so I couldn't update the ios.
I updated iTunes to the latest version and downloaded the 6.01 ipsw.
I've tried restoring and updating using the ipsw but every time I get an error.
The first time it was error 3194. The other times varied from 1604, 1601 and 1602. Then I got error 21, and then 1601.
I've fixed the hosts file, turned on the firewall etc.
What can I do to update my ipod to ios 6?

Just put it in dfu mode and restore it don't need to download any firmwares.
