Have you tried redsnow? Why do you need to hactivate it?

I tried Redsn0w, but it says that Exploit failed.
Why;
I was jailbroken, but I updated so I went to jailbreak with the new evasi0n, but I need to activate to go ahead...(hope I make sense, so lost lol)

You have to point redsnow to a 6.0 firmware first before jailbreaking for it to work.
Do you not have a SIM card to activate it?

Yeah I put 6.0 ---> then DFU mode ---> Exploit failed
-i put my sim in, doesn't recognise it, i think its because its not the official one, had this problem on other ioS's, but hactivating fixes it, then unlock with ultrasnow
for now i need to hacktivate it

So you have the 1.59 baseband them I assume? Who is the phone originally locked to?

I think so, its locked to optus i think, but I give up with redsn0w, I'm so frustrated at the moment, I tried it about 20 times till now... it starts jailbreaking and then says Exploit failed

might just take it to a repair shop

When trying with snowbreeze to hactivate it did you choose expert mode and then click the box to hactivate? There is a manual way to get past activation by replacing the lockdown folder, since you did use a custom firmware you are technically jailbroken.
This might get you past the activation screen: How to Fix the “Different SIM Detected” Issue on the iPhoneLast edited by Simon; 02-08-2013 at 07:58 PM.

didn't work.. but no worries man
I think I'll just wait for redsn0w/other software to support ios 6.1...
I'll use my other phone for now.
Thanks for your help.. I gladly appreciate it.
