I have a iPhone 5 running 6.0.2. I desperately need to have the ability to utilize Personal Hotspot, but am unable to due to bugs in the current iOS. I'd like to jailbreak iOS 6 so that I can utilize Cydia utilities for sharing my iPhone's connection over WiFi.
If I perform an untethered iOS 6 jailbreak, and my phone crashed/reboots requiring a computer to take it back to it's state will I be able to still use my phone unjailbroken until I'm near my computer or will my phone be useless until I get on my computer?

Might want to wait until there's actually a jailbreak for iP5.

@2k1 did IOS 6.0.2 fix your wifi issue ? Did you go back to 6.0.1 ?
I think 6.0.2 is an useless update. My battery drains fast.
I also have problem with Maxis in Malaysia. Sometimes my 3G or no service comes on and I have to toggle airplane mode to get back signal or 3G.
Or it could be iPhone 5 issue

Think it has something to do with my 5 or my router. Went to 6.0.2 no difference with the phone so went back to 6.0.1. Dunno what the issue is with it

Bummer, I thought there was a jailbreak.
I guess I'll sit in the dark with everyone else.

Since your iPhone 5 is on iOS 6 , you might be aware that there is currently no unlocking software available for the accompanying basebands.
Only the R-SIM 6 can do it right now, just plain inconvenient -- steps are required to get the kit working on your iPhone. What's more, apparently you'll need to do all of this again if you switch off the phone(if you keep the phone always on, then it's ok).
Got mine from a China based site, a knock-off at a cheap price, but it did work.
If you want to check : here .
