Curious what is the ideal method here. Restore everything from the backup file, and then run jailbreak? Or the other way around? I'm not running any modifications to the phone,

    Curious what is the ideal method here. Restore everything from the backup file, and then run jailbreak? Or the other way around? I'm not running any modifications to the phone, I just have it jailbroken for SSH access.

    Jailbreak first, then restore from backup and install your personal data. A clean OS installation is supposedly easier and lower-risk for the jailbreaking process used in iOS 5.1.1.
