iphone 3gs on 5.1.1 can i re jailbreak and stay on 5.1.1?

hi all

been jailbroken for a while now and itunes has decided it doesnt like to connect to my phone anymore

im on os 5.1.1 and baseband 05.13.04

i need a carrrier unlock via cydia as im locked to o2 at the mo

i would like to preserve my baseband if possible but also want to re jailbreak and stay with os 5.1.1

is there anyway i can do this without been able to connect to itunes?

is absinthe the way forward for this procedure and will it preserve my baseband?

any help will be gratefully received

quick update

itunes now sorted so can use dfu mode etc as normal

You can use Redsn0w 0.9.15b3 and use the Restore function to restore . When a message pops up whether to update baseband, says N0 to it. This will restore your iphone back to 5.1.1 provided you have 5.1.1 blob saved locally or remotely with Cydia.

in cydia its says blobs at the top and covers 5.1.1 but also 6 for some reason? never gone to os 6 so confused there

do i save locally via tiny umbrella?
will i also need to download a fresh 5.1.1 to use with redsnow aswell? think i used redsnow to jailbreak last time and had to make a custome firmware but that was via itunes

so to clarify

download tiny umbrella and save blobs
download redsnow and click restore and preserve baseband, download clean 5.1.1 to do this restore?
