10-12-2012, 10:33 PM #1restore 4s on 5.1.1 to same 5.1.1
I have a 4s running 5.1.1 and jailbroken.
I am trying to simply restore it to 5.1.1
If I do shift-restore using the 5.1.1 ipsw I get the error, "Iphone could not be restored. An unknown error occured (3194)."
There is nothing apple related in my hosts file.
I do have my shsh blobs and have verified them in redsnow.
So based on past experience with using no-longer signed ipsw, I tried to use tiny umbrella to run a tss server with no luck.
Some research taught me that since 5.x tss server no longer works.
I have used redsnow to stitch my blobs to the 5.1.1 ipsw.
Put my phone in dfu mode and used shift-restore in itunes (newest version) to choose the stitched ipsw file, but after itunes states "extracting the software", then "Verifying with Apple" I get error, "Iphone could not be restored. An unknown error occured (11)."
now I had my phone in normal dfu mode, I did Not get my phone into "Pwnd DFU" as every time I follow redsnow to do this it returns the message, "Sorry, that isn't supported yet on the iPhone 4S."
I have tried all the above with 5.1 and 5.0.1 as well just for sake of trying, but results are the same.
I have followed every tutorial I can find, but I assume I must be missing something. I really need to restore as something is eating my battery like mad. I have had this happen a couple times over the years, but a simple restore and re-jailbreak fixes it. But I cannot seem to find any way to restore while staying on my current 5.1.1
Anyone have any suggestions, or see a step or info I am missing?
Any ideas would be much appreciated.

I don't think u can on 4s yet...
Dev teams haven't come out with anything on 4s or 5 yet for downgrading or staying on same FW..
That I'm aware of anyway
