Thread: Can't upgrade from 4.3 to 6.0

    Default Can't upgrade from 4.3 to 6.0
Got and IMEI unlock completed and want to upgrade my phone. I am currently JB running iOS 4.3 and keep getting errors in iTunes. When I start TU's TSS server (to prevent the 3194 error I was originally getting) I still get error 1604. I've tried this on two different computers and get the same issue.

    Any suggestions?

Did you clear any entries relating to gs.apple.com from your hosts file?

I should put it into DFU before starting the restore? Also I have not modified any host files. What is the recommendation for that?

That's what that error means and pwned dfu mode. Try what I said first. Then if that don't work ill show ya how to do the host file.

Ok I'm downloading redsn0w and I'll try to get into pwned DFU mode. I don't have to use a custom IPSW correct? I can just restore in iTunes?

Do you require a unlock like ultras now or gevey ?

  8. #8
No, my IMEI is unlocked now. No more need for the gevey.
