I also looked into this a bit more, I did find someone with the same issue. Same suggestions, it could be Java related. I'd try a different computer as it seems it worked for the guy in this post: TinyUmbrella fails to launch

EDIT: I guess never mind the top part except for that it could just be Java itself...

Never mind then for that idea.

But since your PC is originally 64 bit and you loaded 32 bit onto it, they'll conflict. You have to un-install 64 bit in order for 32 bit to work.
    what are you talking about?

32-bit programs can run on 64-bit systems just fine...

    you are ok...

here's what I suggest doing, right-click tinyumbrella and open up the properties, then click the Compatibility tab and select the "Run the program in compatibility mode" and select "Windows XP Service Pack 3", then Apply then OK.

Then run tinyumbrella as admin and see if the issue persists

I'm just basing this off my own experience. I don't use TU anymore as I just use RS to do it all, but I had some issues with my Java. I had both 32 and 64 installed. Deleted 64 bit and TU finally worked. So this is just off my own experience, I'm not guaranteeing it works...

Well as I suggested earlier, trying a different computer is never a bad idea. It can do miracles sometimes...

Time to eliminate Java I guess then...

I'm not going to post the link to the discussion since it happens to be a warez repo site, but here's what another solution seemed to be:

Delete the .SHSH folder from the USER's folder

and then run tiny as administrator

Don't forget to backup your save SHSH from .SHSH folder
    I'd give it a shot...

I just reproduced your exact same error by uninstalling java 7, that's the reason why I asked for the java version..

just uninstall all "JAVA(TM) 6" or 7, reboot the pc, then reinstall java from java.com, and you should be ok

use this tinyumbrella version instead: tinyumbrella v5.10.15

there seems to be an issue (at least for me right now) related to Java (from crash log) with using the latest tinyumbrella

This is what I have on my windows 7 64bit computer and TU works fine.

Little hard to see. It's basically java 6 I have installed.

    Better pics of installed versions

I have the same system as you, and also java 6 and 7, but the weird thing is when I tried running tinyumbrella 5.11.01, it crashed with the same error, but then tried it a couple more times and it suddenly worked.

I just helped another person with the same issue, and he says 5.10.15 works fine for him, but not this OP.

Gotta look more at the crash log to see what's going on

Right click on TU and click properties. At the bottom of the properties box, above advanced, it may prompt you to "unblock". If it does, click on that, hit apply, and see if it works

from the looks of the crash log, it seems to be a java related issue

however that is a nice suggestion!

hopefully it will work for the OP!

if not, I would suggest to try this version as it worked for someone I helped earlier: tinyumbrella-51010
