    Question Jailbreaking my iPod Touch?
I'm not sure if I want to jailbreak my iPod, because I don't fully understand what it does.

My problem is I have 2nd generation iPod Touch running 4.2.1, but the iTunes App I really want to get needs version 4.3.

What I was hoping is I could jailbreak my iPod and install the latest iOS. Or if you know another way to get the iOS that would be helpful. Thank you!

You can jailbreak and edit a file called systemversion.plist to make it run.

Not sure if it will indeed run as it needs an iOS firmware which isn't even available for your device so I'm not completely sure but jailbreaking is great.
