Quick question, I'm on 4.3.5 with 4.10.01 using Gevey Sim to unlock my phone for T-mobile. And my phone is jailbroken. I want to upgrade to the latest firmware. Can I do that by just restoring my phone through itunes? I don't want to jailbreak my phone anymore, because I have a friend that can factory unlock the phone for me through AT&T. Is it safe for me to restore my phone through itunes and update it? And if I get a factory unlock through AT&T, I can use my t-mobile micro sim card right? Just want to make sure before I start doing this.

Thanks for the quick reply, should I ask my friend to unlock my phone first, before I restore it? Would AT&T be able to find out that I'm using the illegal Gevey Sim if this phone has service?

Be on the safe side I would git it unlocked first. Just in case they pull ya tray out and see that sim. Don't think anything would happen but just to be safe.
