    Default iPad 4.3.1
Hi there, I have an iPad 2 on 4.3.1 and I need a way to jailbreak it. Is there a way to update to 5.0.1, since the new 5.1 is out I can't update normally. Would restoring the iPad to a downloaded 5.0.1 firmware work?

No, because it's an iPad 2... Will have to wait for a 5.1 untethered jailbreak

You can try to jailbreak it now with jailbreakme.com but it was only designed for 4.3.3 so it probably will not work. No way to get to 5.0.1 anymore like Susty said. Do you know what shsh you have?

It hasn't been jailbroken before, so I don't think it would have any shsh saved

Probably not then, doesn't hurt to check though.
