Please help a jailbreak newby

Ok so I only got my first iPhone about a month ago, a 4S.

I jailbroke it yesterday and have been exploring Cydia.

I've installed a couple of things such as a few different boot logos. I found the boot logo settings and selected the one I wanted and then re-booted, but it didn't do anything, it was just the same apple logo. Am I missing a step??

Also I installed fontchanger and the icon appeared but when I tap it, it starts to load and them just closes again. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling but still the same. I feel really dumb! Why won't anything work??

I'm not so sure boot logos will work for u....4s....think u need 3GS old bootrom or older...not sure about your font issue...
