    Default Please help

I'm running ios 5.0.1 with an untethered jailbreak with redsn0w 10b2. My iphone 4 died and when I plugged it in, it was stuck on the Apple logo. Sometimes it will go the the spinning loading thing and freeze. Itunes still reads it like there's nothing wrong. I've tried booting with redsn0w and also running the 10b4 jailbreak over it.

    Any help would be appreciated.

It's stuck in a boot loop. Your best bet is probably to do a restore to 5.0.1 and reJB.

Can I do the regular factory restore in itunes or do I need to shift+restore to 5.0.1?

You can do a factory restore in iTunes. Just click restore. You could do a shift restore too if you want to...it's the same thing in this case.

If you're not needing to preserve the bb for unlocking that is. If you are you'd want to shift+restore to a custom 5.0.1.

Nope. Bb is ok. Thank you!

One more thing. If I make an itunes backup now, restore, then set it up from this backup, is it going to work or am I going to have problems?

It's not easy to say. I restore from backup often and never have trouble (except maybe once). If this loop wasn't caused by something you installed from Cydia, it should be ok to restore from backup.
