Restore after Windows 0.2 Jailbreak Query

Hi all from NZ

Reading the Windows Guide, it mentions to restore from backup when you see the restore GUI at the end of the jailbreak process. Is this restore within the Absinthe process?

Ive only JB'ed one phone, a new 3GS for my 13yo daughter. I thought that a restore will remove a JB?

Restoring from backup isn't the same as a general "restore." It is simply loading a backup that was created prior to the actual "restore" of a firmware version. So no restoring from backup does not remove the jailbreak.
