Absinthe-like jailbreak for older phones

Hi, I'm just wondering is there a jailbreak similar to Absinthe where you can jailbreak with setting the device to DFU-mode for older phones as well? I've got an iPhone 3GS (Yes I know, thought I'd wait til the iPhone 5 since the 4S didn't seem worth it and I'm in no hurry) - and my power button just broke.. I can't get the device into DFU mode how hard I try.. So is there any jailbreak out there right now like Absinthe / Jailbreakme where DFU mode isn't required?
