Apple after restore...

Hi!
I have a 3g Iphone, 4.2.1 with baseband 6.15

I had to do a restore, so used itunes with a custom firmware

After 20 tries, i always obtain the same: the process ends well, but the phone never turns on. The apple is on the screen and tries to reboot once a gain in an endless loop
What am i doing wrong?

It was Jailbroken and unlocked

You put the phone properly into pwned dfu yes? Have you tried using different custom firmwares (like creating a new one rather than using the same one repetitively)?

The cFW you're using, does it have the iPad baseband packaged into it? If so, try making one without it. If not, try making one with it.

+1 try rebuilding custom FW, I had to rebuild my custom IPSW 4 times before it actually restored.

If you're not sure if it has the iPad bb packaged in it, create one with and one without. Try restoring to the one without first. If that fails try the one with. Sometimes, the iPad bb needs to be reflashed, and sometimes it doesn't so when using a cFW with the iPad bb can cause it not to work right. So try both.

This is what I did yesterday

I used a new mac. I created custom firmware with Pwntool. I did not give me the option to update baseband, neither to unlock. So i just clicked on activate phone and install cydia. I restored with Itunes

The good news: It worked!

The bad news: I installed ultrasnow, whatsapp and tune in radio. 10 minutes later the phone got frozen, and did not work any more. I tried to resotre again with Itunes and hte SAME custom firmware created, but it did not work!! The process finished corectly, but the phone did not turn on... it just appears the pinneaple in an eternal loop of trying to start...

Back to the start point again...

Btw, why doesnt PWntool give me the option to update baseband neither to unlock?
