3G 3.1.3 not taking custom fw 4.2.1..help please

Now I need help...have wifes 3G with 3.1.3 on it. Created custom preserve BB IPSW. Used ireb rc4 to put in dfu. Launch iTunes shift click restore.. Starts for a few then errors out error 2..can't figure out why it won't take it...help?... thanks.

iTunes Error 2 is caused by Apple Application failing to install correctly. Try these steps on this Apple website.

2. Type in iTunes Error 2 and go search.
