Update iPhone 4 baseband to 4.10.01 for Gevey on iOS 5

I do not currently have a Gevey but I just bought an iPhone 4 on 4.2.1 with baseband 3.10.01. I hear only 4.10.01 works on 5.0.1 with a gevey ultra? Id like to know how to upgrade to 4.10.01 without upgrading to 4.11.08, or if someone could confirm that 3.10.01 works right with gevey on ios5 that works too!

You cannot change your baseband to any baseband except 04.11.01. Your current bb of 3.10.01 should work with gevey sim , shouldn't it. I may be wrong..

Everything unto 4.10.01 works just fine.

Ok good, thanks! I'm still drooling over how much better this is than my old 3gs with 6.15 lol

If you get a Gevey Ultra then you can install furiousmod from Cydia and it will unlock automatically so long as you stay at or below IOS 4.3.3
If you update to IOS 5.0.1 then you will have to do the manual unlock (e.g.dial 112, etc)
