I keep getting Error 21 fixed then get error 1600 while trying to update to 5.0.1

Hello

I am on a GSM Iphone 4 running a pwnd 4.2.1 and I have a macbook pro running the newest version of itunes and the newest Snow leopard.

I believe I may have the Host file edited or something from a while back but can not figure out how to change it back. I have search around and haven't been able to find what it is suppose to be.

Ok so now the problem

I tried to update to stock 5.0.1 from the JB Pwnd 4.2.1 the first time around I got a 21 error and the connect to itune screen before it finished.

I then tried to restore to stock and pwnd 4.2.1 and got the same error.

I put the phone into DUF without pwnage tool and got the error 1600 with all three the 4.2.1 and the 5.0.1.

Using pwnage tool I was able to put it into pwnd DUF mode and restored to the custom 4.2.1.

Then I ran into some craziness where it would not allow me to restore to back up, it kept giving me an error "could not restore from back up because back up was unable to save to computer." with everyone of my back ups finally I created a new back up (which had nothing on it) But then it allowed me to right click and restore to one of my old back ups.

Any how, I have tried to update to 5.0.1 a few times now and have been unable to going through the same sort of process as above over and over. How can I update to 5.0.1 without it bricking my phone again..

To point back to apple server, run tiny umbrella uncheck set hosts file to cydia and close TU. now try your restore again
